Answer: The six classes of necessary nutrients are carbohydrates, vitamins, fats, minerals, proteins, and water.

Answer: Eight glasses at a minimum, nine to twelve glasses on average, or your body weight divided by 2 and then 8 for maximum physical health.

Answer: Get proper nutrition and adequate sleep and don’t smoke tobacco.

Answer: If you have a fever or are vomiting or have diarrhea, you should stay home until you have been cleared by a physician or your symptoms have disappeared.

Answer: Wear gloves to limit your exposure to chemicals and wash and thoroughly dry your hands after removing gloves. Always be conscious of ongoing irritation or symptoms and be vigilant about limiting exposure.

  • Keep your wrists in a straight or neutral position as much as possible.
  • When working on a client’s hands or fingers, do not reach across the table; have the client extend their hand across the table to you.
  • Use ergonomically designed implements.
  • Keep your back and neck straight.
  • Stand on an anti-fatigue mat.
  • When standing to cut hair, position your legs hip-width apart, bend your knees slightly, and align your pelvic area with your abdomen.
