Hollywood Beauty Academy will prepare you from no experience to a licensed Nail Technician working in a nail salon in just two months.
Hollywood has two specialized classes for Nails. Class sizes are limited 16 students which means plenty of time with our instructors.
Why Hollywood is Different
Hollywood has one of the top eLearning platforms for Nail Technicians. Students are on campus only two days per week and continue their studies throughout the week via our eLearning platform.
All lectures and quizzes are delivered online so students maximize hands-on training when they are on campus.
While many schools “inflate” their teaching hours in order to charge more tuition, Hollywood follows Florida Department of Education’s 180-hour curriculum. This means that students graduate and become licensed Nail Technicians in 2 months as compared to other schools whose programs run 4 to 6 months long. Even though students spend less time on campus and graduate faster, their knowledge and competency of their field surpasses Florida’s standards. Hollywood’s placement rate is consistently over 95% within 3 months of graduation.
The faster, more efficient program means lower tuition for students. Hollywood’s Nail Technology program costs $3,590 while most Nail schools charge over $5,000.
Prerequisites
No prior experience needed. Prospective students must pass 10th grade English before enrolling. A high school diploma or GED is not required.
Course Duration
180 hours. If you attend classes two days per week from 9am to 7pm, you will complete the course in 2 months.
Class instruction runs Mon/Tue from 9am to 7pm OR Wed/Thu from 9am to 7pm.
We accept Spanish-speaking students as our eLearning platform can deliver content in Spanish based on your preference. Our instructors speak fluent Spanish.
At the end of the course, you will test with our lead instructors. You do not need to sit for a state exam.
Total Tuition
$3,590. This includes 2 months of instruction, a nail kit, apron, all state board license and registration fees. We use the latest edition of Milady’s Nail Technology textbook which can be purchased via Amazon. The ISBN number is listed below in the FAQ.
Only $500 is due at enrollment. The balance of tuition can be spread out over the 2 month program. This equates to $830 per month until graduation. You will get a free set of Milady textbooks if you signup and pay in full using cash, check or Zelle.
Federal student grants and loans do not apply for any 180 hour Nail Technician program in the State of Florida. This is because federal funding only applies to programs above 600 hours. However, most students will attest that this program is one of the best bang-for-your-buck programs in Orlando. Most students recoup their tuition within two months after graduation when working in a salon.
Career Opportunities
With a nail technician license, you are ready to work at a nail salon or to start your own salon. Once you have secured your license, it is highly recommended that you continue with your Full Specialist license as many nail salons value the versatility of employees who can offer brow and eye lash services at their salon.
